The first of its kind, Cutting Edge Power's 12V 3S wind and solar lithium-ion battery pack is like no other!  Leveraging the amazing performance of our Lithium cells and the resulting smaller footprint, our battery packs provide up to +450% lifetime and +100% run time over traditional batteries!

#1: SAFE.

High performance cells are welded in Houston, TX and installed in plastic holders.  The plastic holders are then assembled, further insulated and mounted inside a hard and rigid 1/8" thick plastic case. 

(In contrast, other high performance phone/drone batteries are commonly lithium polymer "bags" - easily punctured causing explosions, and are commonly only protected by a thin plastic plate with no foam.)  Lithium batteries are so new that many packs out there are “piecemealed” together, creating hazardous situations.

Each cell array is continuously monitored by an integrated Battery Management Systems (BMS).  The BMS protects all cells against overcharging, overdischarging, as well as overcurrent.  It also equalizes all of the cell voltages.

#2: COMPATIBLE.

Our lithium batteries will be factory installed in any Cutting Edge Power solar generator when purchased together.  Adding a lithium battery to an existing Cutting Edge Power solar generator is easy and only requires hooking up the solar generator’s 5/16” ring terminals. No proprietary connectors!  Post terminals on our battery packs allow you to quickly and easily replace old batteries.

Not all lithium ion battery packs have operating voltages that work with standard appliances like 12V/120V inverters, 12V lighting, 12V refrigerators, 12V trolling motors, etc….OURS DO!

Our battery cells were pioneered by the auto industry so they have a high energy density. This means a smaller battery pack can have up to 2x the run time as a standard SLA battery.  Combining the small size and higher energy density, our batteries will maximize your run time in a compact solar generator!

Our lithium batteries provide about +450% lifetime and +100% run time over traditional lead acid batteries.  Plus, they can do this in about half the size!

Compared with traditional batteries, Cutting Edge Power lithium ion batteries have a higher run time, higher cycle lifetime, better power density and charge faster.  They also weigh less than LiFePO4 and a single battery can even provide a higher discharge rate than multiple SLA or LiFePO4 batteries! In wind and solar applications, our lithium batteries have proven to be superior against lead acid, NiCd, AND lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.
