Great design, Better than the previous version
The previous version was a little finicky and needed to be wired in-line with the circuit in order to measure the current. That was kind of a hassle and you lose efficiency doing that too. This new version slips over the wires instead, using an inductive sensor. Inductive sensors aren't as accurate as measuring current in-line but Cutting Edge still managed to improve accuracy on this 3.0 model from the old model. Impressive! I've come to expect most orders from Cutting Edge to take a long time to arrive. They do make them in USA but always blame a long backlog for the delays. This one was worth the wait. I would totally recommend this 3.0 version for someone making a DIY solar generator like me! Very neat product (nothing else out there like it that's wifi) and they managed to get all the bugs out in a product that's very cool and informative!
