Why should we use renewable energy?

At Cutting Edge Power Inc., we believe there are 3 main reasons for using renewable energy: To protect and improve our planet, to have energy independence, and to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

To start off, we should mention that when we define “renewable energy” we are referring to energy converted from sources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat, which are all replenished naturally on a human timescale.  According to the International Energy Agency, non-hydro renewable energy sources only accounted for about 8% of the worlds power production in 2016.

Protect and Improve our Planet:

This week the Trump administration released a new report regarding climate change.  It finally confirms climate change is real, and it delivers a dire warning about the terrible economic effects of climate change.  But we’ll save the doom and gloom for another time, because we believe this is great news!  It means that now is the time to take action and save the world from climate change’s natural and economic disasters.  Solar is the “biggest tool in the toolbox” for cutting carbon, says Greg Wilson of the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory.  There are many ways to capture and filter carbon dioxide, but the true solution is through wind & solar power.  At Cutting Edge Power Inc., we believe it’s our responsibility to help the world change and become a sustainable environment.  To do this, we have provided many solar panel and mount packages and wind turbines and wind turbine accessories and packages.

There are many forms of power generation available right now.  One form that is being marketed as “safe” is nuclear power.  Although it’s safe when things go perfect, if there is ever an accident it can be extremely dangerous.  There’s not many things dangerous about wind power and solar power.
