A customer recently asked: I am looking for solar (and possibly combined with wind) generator when we go camping for up to 2 weeks. We use a Jumping Jack pop up tent trailer so it's not like we are walking the setup into the campsite. This is how Cutting Edge Power recommends to set up a basic solar system. Check list: The Solar panel, charge controller, battery, inverter, and wiring connection. SET UP: Follow these 3 easy steps: The battery should be hooked up to the charge controller first. Otherwise, the charge controller can be damaged. Since this technology is fairly new, the industry is lacking certain codes and certifications that would otherwise need to be in place.
